My Story
I am a 34 year old woman, happily married, a busy first grade teacher, and now physically stronger than I have ever been in my life thanks to boxing fitness.
I was never really into sports or exercise; in fact, I always felt a little intimidated in a gym. If I did plan a workout routine, it was usually short term and only to prepare for a special occasion like a wedding or my high school reunion.
Five months ago I decided to take a chance and to try boxing fitness with Vince for at least the first two free sessions. It wasnʼt long before I got hooked! I have been taking Vinceʼs classes three times a week for the past five months and I canʼt believe how my endurance, strength and confidence have increased.
Not only have I found an effective exercise routine that I am committed to, but I have also come to enjoy learning fundamental boxing and conditioning skills.

Hello Anytime Fitness in Bristow, VA, I just want to send a note about the Bristow, VA Anytime Fitness location. My wife and I have been going to ATF in Bristow for about a year and a half now. It is a very friendly and comfortable. My wife even says she feels relaxed going into ATF.

Not to mention we hired Lorra Wiggins for our personal trainer and Lorra has helped me lose 75 pounds in the past year.

My “Aha” moment occurred while sitting in an airport in Denver. Too out of shape to walk from one airport terminal to another without working up a sweat. At that moment, I decided that I had to do something. I was 37 years old and weighed 304 lbs. When I got home, I decided to join the Anytime Fitness gym in Bristow to try and get in shape and lose the weight that I had put on over years of inactivity and poor diet.
I started by setting a goal. I was going to lose 100 lbs. in 24 months.
When I started going to the gym, I really didn’t have a clue what I was doing and after a couple of weeks, I was ready to give up. That’s when the owner of the gym, Mohd, introduced me to Vince, the boxing instructor. Vince invited me to come try one of his classes. I told Vince that I was going to lose 100 lbs. He said that if I was serious, he would match my dedication to helping me along the journey.
After the first class, I knew that this was what was going to help me achieve the goal that I had set. So many times before, I had left the gym thinking that I could have done more. With the boxing class, you never feel that way. After every session, you know that you gave everything that you had during that workout. Results started to show up almost immediately.

What I didn’t know then was how much Vince would not only motivate and challenge me every class, but how dedicated he is at not only the physical aspect, but the life change associated. After I hit a plateau after losing the first 30 lbs., Vince helped me with my diet. More results started to show. Vince pushed harder. More results. More weight lost. In the first year, I lost 80 lbs.
After 20 months, I am happy to say that I have achieved my goal, and I couldn’t be more grateful to Vince and the staff at Anytime Fitness Bristow for the support they have shown me throughout my journey. You always see these things happen on TV, but you never think that they can happen to you. I’m living proof that they can.
